Brief description/purpose of workshop
The course consists of two independent, yet deeply inter-related, elements:
i). developing hands-on skills in painting and drawing with Balinese culture, aesthetics, and
natural flora and fauna as the primary focus.
ii). The study of Balinese history and culture within the context of Asian cultures and peoples.

Brief description/purpose of instruction
The purpose of the instruction is primarily to promote confidence and ability in creating original art and understanding-appreciation of the visual arts for those who feel they would like to strengthen these abilities. The emphasis for achieving this is placed firmly on the development of several kinds of interrelated skills

Brief description/purpose of workshop
The course is suitable for both complete beginners and experienced artists. It is especially designed with the International Baccalaureate Visual Arts student or potential student in mind.
The course emphasizes combining visual and written research into various kinds of art styles and techniques linked very closely to the production of studio work and is strongly recommended as an excellent Pre I.B. or Mid I.B. booster for the I.B. Visual Arts candidate.
